First Aider In Every Home Camp 2010

On 23 and 24 October2010, I joined a camp that might be the most memorable one in my life.

The name of the camp is 'First Aider In Every Home Camp 2010'. I have totally no regret of joining the committee team to work with all the organizing committees. Thinking back to the previous semester during performance management lecture at DDK1, when our organizing chairperson first offered me the post of organizing treasurer, I was like a little bit hesitate to join and even thought of rejecting her offer because of overloaded academic and extra-curriculum works. Besides that, drop in previous semester academic results made me to feel resisted to the offer as well. In the end, I finally been convinced by her sincerity and decided to join. If she didn't insist on the offer at the first place, I wouldn't be here to be with all of the committees and might have missed the chance to get to know all of you and to experience the happiest moment in my university life.

P.S.: I need to thank her for inviting me.

Without being exaggerating, I really feel that this camp was really successfully and everything went well throughout the event, although some problems arose in the course of preparation and even on the event day itself. The committee team managed to handle them well without complaints, and instead lending a helping hand to provide solutions. This is something that many event organizing teams do not have. In addition, participants were hyperactive; camp facilities were great; programs were well-organized and committee members were committed. What can i say more about this camp other than one word-GREAT!

At first, I was a little bit worry about the social night programs because I was in charge of the programs for social night and aerobics exercise. I've no experience in these things so what I can do is to download videos from Youtube and to learn the dance and aerobics step by step through the video. I was able to imitate the steps from the video but still my movements were stiff like a dancing robot(people always describe me as that). I was so scared that I might screw the social night. In fact, I will. Luckily in the end our lovely and helpful Jeanie with experiences in dancing and organizing camps came to help and took over the jobs. She's so nice!If she wasn't there, I might have screwed the most fun part of our event- The First Aid Social Night. She conducted the Social Night like a 'professional' and everyone really enjoyed a lot that night.

P.S.: I gotta thank her very much for that.

*Committee were practicing Waka-Waka dance before the social night.

One week before the event, we gathered at Chiu li house almost for every night to practice the Waka-waka dance as well as those interaction games. Everyone was so cooperative and even one of the committee members who will be having exam on the following weeks also joined the practice session with no complaints. I was so impressed about that. That week is really a fun-filled week and we had a lot of funs together. We were like a family, that take care of each other. This is also the time when we build up our trust and friendships, and this is the time when a unbreakable bond was formed among us. At the end of that week, everyone was physically drained out but that really worths.

P.S.: I'm so glad that I joined this organizing committee.
